I have used this a few times now, it stings like hell but helps to get you back on the water sooner.
In all the rush I had forgotten my duct tape but luckily Colin was on hand to lend me some. So unexpectedly I was on the water and not in too much pain, in fact the duct tape lasted about 15 minutes before I crashed a back and it was gone. I was actually less painful with the tape gone but I knew that my time was short before the New Skin would rub off. I managed to get a few fun waves but I was a little out of sorts and didn’t achieve anything close to special. In all the rush I put my camera too high up on the mast and to rub salt into the wound I had to bin the pictures. While I didn’t have a great session in any regards it was good to be back in the water, I need to improve my sailing though in the coming days and I need to get some decent shots, I think a little more focus will go along way!
Some of the shots would have been great if the camera had been 3 inches further south. Gutted!
Sailing record = 96% (24/25 days) there has been a few sketchy ones recently, ready for a good day wave sailing!
More to follow...
looks good out there - summer swell too! Where are you teaching to get 60 days, I am jealous.
ReplyDeleteWe generally get some small waves in the summer but mainly wind blown but fun. I have been working in Bahrain for 3 years, I more year to go then back here. How you?
